Patient Information

We are a fully computerised comprehensive general practice, offering a wide range of services to all age groups. All staff at our practice are dedicated to the highest standard of professional care. The doctors and nurses participate in regular continuing education to keep up to date with the latest medical information and treatments.

The practice has a strict 'No Smoking Policy.'

Our surgery is located on ground level, with wheelchair access and disabled toilets available. There is also ample onsite parking available.

Appointments:

If appropriate time is allocated for your appointment, we will endeavour to minimise the waiting period where possible. Longer appointments are available if required. If you, or a family member, require an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please notify us of these requirements when making an appointment.

Please Note: A no-show fee of $60 may apply if you do not let us know when you are unable to attend an appointment. As our practices are quite busy, many patients have to wait for appointments to become available. If you notify us and cancel your appointments when you cannot attend we are able to offer the time to another patient who can then see a doctor sooner. Please visit the practice locations pages for individual practice contact details.

*cancelling and rescheduling appointments does not incur a fee.

Emergencies will be given priority

Phone Calls to your Doctor:

Due to the Privacy Act this practice does not give results over the phone. Your are requested to make a follow-up appointment. Doctors do not take phone calls during consultations, but may be able to phone you back at a later if requested to do so.

It is advisable to make appointments in advance to renew scripts before medications run out. Reminders and Recalls:

Our practice generates a computer recall system for childhood vaccinations, pap smears and chronic illness (eg. Diabetes). We encourage patients to take responsibility for their own health, this includes follow-up care and pathology results.

Medical Certificates:

Medical Certificates are not issued over the phone. If patients require a medical certificate for an employer or benefits agency they must make an appointment to see their doctor, except if we are in receipt of a hospital discharge summary clearly identifying the patient is unable to leave home. Medical Certificates will not be backdated for any reason.
