How We Work

About Us

Sexual health can be an uncomfortable topic for anyone. But finding the right services and practitioner can make all the difference. That’s why we setup our sexual health clinics to help connect you with practitioners who have an interest in sexual health and we do it discreetly.

By running these clinics along our general practice service, you can access sti testing, pregnancy care, medical termination and other sexual health or reproductive services discreetly. You simply book a standard appointment with a GP. There’s no judgement, just your average GP appointment with the benefit of having access to the sexual health services you need. We hope this gives you the confidence to seek our services.

How To Book a Sexual Health Check

You can book a sexual health check online or by calling one of our participating clinics. Because our sexual health clinics are run from general practice medical centres, you just need to book a standard appointment with one of the sexual health practitioners. Meet our practitioners and book with them on the clinics page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We are an appointment based practice.
You don’t have to book for a sexual health check specifically, but you do need a face-to-face appointment. Visit our Clinics Page for practice and practitioner information, including access to the online bookings portal.
How long do STI/sexual health checks take?
Most STI tests or sexual health checks are complete within 10-20 minutes.
Cervical screening tests tend to be at the longer end of that range, while STI testing is often at the shorter end of the range.
How long do STI test results take to get back?
Most STI test results will be returned to us within 24 – 48 hours.
When results are available we will send an SMS message if they need to be discussed. You can then book a phone consult or another face-to-face consult to discuss these. If we feel the results are urgent, we will reach out directly.
Is STI testing free?
The pathology tests are generally Bulk Billed. However, standard consult fees apply for patients aged 16-74 when you visit our practitioners.
Do I need a Medicare Card?
For access to Medicare benefits (such as a rebate or bulk billing) you do need to be on a Medicare Card. Without access to Medicare benefits patients are out-of-pocket full consult fees and will be invoiced for any pathology or imaging undertaken.
> If you have your own Medicare Card please bring it with you.
> If you are on a Family Medicare Card and you don’t have your own card, we can lookup your card details.

Teenagers can apply for their own Medicare Card once they turn 15 years of age. Please visit Medicare for more information on this.
Do I need parent or guardian to visit?
Patients who are over 14 years of age can visit without a parent or guardian.
If you are assessed to be mature-minded and responsible, you will be able to access our services and your information and consults will be kept confidential. There are some ethical, statutory and common law exceptions to this, however, your consent will generally be required before any information can be disclosed. So, you can feel comfortable and confident accessing the services you need.
